How to restore XP after novell client trashed it?23 Jul 2003 04:30 GMT2
In a fit of stupidity I installed novell client 4.83 (c483sp2e.exe)
on my xp-home system.  After realizing it was not what I needed
I uninstalled it using LocalAreaConnectionProperties-Uninstall.
The system then failed to boot and displayed "User Interface Failure

I just finally got to have a copy of Windows XP Pro for use here at work.
Problem is that the company got a full install version and not an upgrade
copy.
I'm running Windows 2000 Pro right now and of course the thing says it won't

If someone could help me please.  I upgrade from a 30 Gig

I am creating a distribution folder on a CD for an
unattended setup.  When it gets to the copying files to
the hard drive the process takes a long time.  Has anyone
had experience with this and have a possible solution?

I want to do a clean install using an XP upgrade CD.  The
machine originally came with 98 preloaded by Compaq, but I
want to wipe it all out.  Will this work, or do I need to
install the full XP product to do this?

When my Windows XT boot-up I continue to get the following

i have a major probelm, i just brought , windows XP
professional and installed on my system, i system crashed
due electrical probelm, now when formated and installed a

Everytime I run sysprep I get a message that says "The
NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.  
CS:0000 IP:0077 OP:f0 37 05 0c 02 Choose 'Close' to
terminate teh application.

I successfully installed XP Home Version. I then installed
an evaluation version of XP Pro. Now that the eval period
is over, I get the dialog box: The evaluation period for
this copy of Windows has ended. Windows cannot start. To
