windows downloaded the service pak as a update, when it
did it changed the configurations of my computer. my
computer came with ms word pre-installed on it. agter the
sevice pak installed,word was gone, tried to restore but

I tried to uninstall windows xp from my laptop to get rid
of a previous owners's junk.  I didn't have the original
xp disk, but tried to reinstall with a different xp disk.

I'm using hardware raid 0, in computer managment when I right click the
disks (partitioned as 2 drives) it asks if I want to convert them to dynamic
volumes.  Would doing so offer any benefit, or does it matter since the
array is defined by the onboard controller?

I've had a problem with my HD [IBM Deskstar], and using
thier download tools have erased the disk, and started the
XP install process, disk formatted OK [NTFS], system files
were installed, and system rebooted, now all I get is this
