During installation there are no blocks, yet after copying
the files in "Preparing Installation", Windows restarts
and goes back to "Preparing Installation" where it locks
up.

After downloading of 45mb worth of secyrity updates from
MS webcite my box just stpped responding & I have 6 min.
left in download time message windiw, without moving on
to installation. It is going on for qaite a few hours.

After enabling the Windows XP Firewall, attempts to
access the log file, pfirewall.log, were unsuccessful. It
appears the file does not exist within my operating
system.  Please advise as to how obtain this file.

At the moment I'm running Windows 98SE, and i think it's time to move on
before it reaches an 'extended support phase' or 'non-supported phase' where
no more security/bug fixes will be released.  So at the moment, it would be

if my printer a 952c hp will be compatible with xp home
edition? I f not what will I have to do to make it so?

I originally had W98, upgraded to XP. Then someone
installedXP professional for me. Come to find out it was
not an original. I would like to remove the professional
version and return to XP home, which I have the cd for.

purchased a new Soyo Dragon  SY-P4I875P mother board with
the 2.0G processor and Hyperthreading.. replaced the
