Tried to boot to a clean 80Gig no joy. Installed 98Se and tried a new installation No joy.Re formatted and installed ME then tried to upgrade No joy. downloaded the 6 boot up disks reformatted and still had no joy. Every time the same error-"Unknown Hard Error c0000220

I am attempting to run some partitioning programs which normally boot and run from the floppy drive using a CD-ROM instead. (Ie. BootItNG and Ghost) I don't have a clue how to do this but am confident that it can be done since my computer can boot from the cd-rom.

My Windows ME became unstable---freezing constantly. I reformatted my hard drive and purchased Windows XP. With a fresh hard dirve, all I have is a DOS prompt. How do I load the new Windows XP?
