I just installed the software, and now the computer
automatically comes up with "Shutdown initiated by NT
Authority \ System, Remote Procedure Call Service
terminated unexpectantly" and the computer then restarts.

Why is the Windows XP Firewall Defaulted to "OFF"?  It
would have really helped me get on the net as I was
putting a new Dell comp together and needed to run the

I have two hard drives each with two partitions. On my "C" drive I have

I tried to upgrade my daughter's HP Pavillion laptop OS

college).  The installation hung with the error

I tried using the repair console but it couldn't

I procrastinated installing a firewall and for that sin I
had the "blast worm" infection for a half hour or so, I
cleaned it out no problem. While I was getting the patch
from Microsoft it made me install Service Pack 1, which

that says Bad Image. I click it off then will work normal
except for Windows Media Player which will not work at
