i've got winme installed on my comp and i wanna upgrade to

At the very beginning of the installation the error
message comes up saying it cannot continue because it
cannot create a temporary folder.  If anyone knows how I
can fix this I'd appreciate it.

XP on my computer in such a way as to create a partition;
I had Windows 98 on one side and XP on the other; neither
