i've got winme installed on my comp and i wanna upgrade to
xp. Its just that whenever i try to install xp i get this

Upgrading my daughters computer from Win 98 to XP Home

I changed my bios to boot from Cd but i still get a
message that reads "Boot Failure, rebot and select proper
boot drive" What can i do to get my system working?

I reformated my hard drive and stupidly copied the win 98
system files across at the same time.  After installing
winXP, i now get a dual boot menu which i want to get rid
of.  How do i remove all traces of Win98??

At the very beginning of the installation the error
message comes up saying it cannot continue because it
cannot create a temporary folder.  If anyone knows how I
can fix this I'd appreciate it.  

I would like to move up to Windows XP Pro.  The system is
currently using Win 2000 Pro.
Do I have to fdisk my system before I install XP Pro?

updated pen 2 computer with an intel 865perl motherboard,
