I have transfered them from my other computer and the
themes work, except for the screen savers. WHere are they
located so I can transfer them over also ?

I just realized that when I installed XP on my HP that
the hard drive had to be reformatted to do it. I lost all
of my plus themes that I had. They are still on my Dell.
Can I transfer them over to my HP so they will work

Hello to all. I just got a Dell laptop with Win XP Pro and want to "clean
it up" (i.e. remove all the junk Dell installed, etc). I am wondering if
it's easier and better to do a fresh install or can I just go the
Add/Remove programs route and use a "safe" registry cleaner for the

I just reformatted my harddrive a reinstalled windows xp, I have done this
before but forget how to do it. I have on the right bottom side of my screen

Hi!  I'm getting "an unexpected error (0) occurred at line
1768 in d:\xpsp1\base\boot\setup\arcdisp.c" message during
setup.  Don't think it's my D: (secondary) hard drive
since removing it didn't clear the error upon reboot.

Ok, I would like to remove xp, but can live with it on my

I installed a new hard drive. The copy went fine, but now
how do I assign the new drive letter C: ?
I can boot from both drives now, and when I change the
drive letter with the Disk Administrator XP re-assigns the

After reading documents on the topic of multiboot with XP
Pro, I thought I did it correctly...BUT....
I wanted my pre-existing Win98 2nd ed install to remain
on the drive and placed a XP Pro install on a new

Computer starting to get slugish and would like to
reinstall xp. Can I reinstall without having to format hard
drive so all settings are preserved? If so how is this done

I originally wrote anout having install errors with
windows xp pro SP1 and someone suggested using boot disks.
i tried that and got past the problems but now when it is
trying to copy windows files to the hard drive it keeps

When I try to upgrade from XP Home to XP Professional, the
installation stops at 29 minutes [while it is
installing 'SiS M650'
The machine then re-boots - restarts the installation to
