I have a new Dell computer that came with Windows xp.  
When I try to load a software program that I used under
98 it only loads 76 percent and stops at the registry

I have an OEM PC from a small company that went out of business. My
PC was recently damaged (hard-drive was toast) from trying to run
while sitting in 3 inches of water (plumbing broke in a small room).
