XPPro installlation. got new hardrive. slight problem
when trying to register online, so went w/ phone.  Now no
update, error 0x800A138F.  Followed update trouble
shooter, turned off AVG antivirus, still no go.

I have a Dell laptop computer with the (Dell edition) XP
home Edition upgrade CD. Due to virus issues I had to
reinstall Windows XP twice. The first time worked fine.
The second time, however, it gets to the bit about

I am not having any success installing XP Home on a computer I'm
putting together. I have a brand new ASUS A7N8X nForce2 board with
an Athlon 2600+, Maxtor 60, Micron PC2700 RAM (256mb) and a

I successfully installed XP on my Dell. But now I am
trying to install it on my HP computer. It gets part way

system files protection is preventing my installation package (created with
vb6 sp5 pdw) from performing the replacement
even after sp1/sp1a has been applied, xp pro still has mfc42.dll v6.0.8665.0

While downloading XP window updates, there is no "I
accept", dialog box in license agreement.
Do I miss something, or this is some sort trick question?

Is there a way to increase the size of a partition on XP.
When setting up the system I made the partion that holds
the operating system to small. Can I increase the size
without formating the hard drive.

I just rebuilt my Dell Dimension 8300 and upon
startup, "the system 32" folder opens on my desktop.
This happens every time I start my PC.  The PC is running
