Reinstalling Windows XP Home Edition:
My OS seemed to crash. I wiped my hard drive clean by
writing zeros. Now I have been trying to reinstall Windows
XP, only to have the same error come up repeatedly in

When I re-installed Xp I got this meesage when the final
part of the installation went to load windows, It said
that when ows could not load because the following file
was corrupt or missing,  \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYTEM

I want to make anew setup for windows xp in ane hard
drive can I install xp if the new hard drive dont have
anything on it or shall I install an old version of
windows then I install windows xp?

A friend has given me a HP Scan jet 3200C scanner.
i have it hooked up physically, no problem.
put in disc that came with it and it says could ruin my

Sorry if this is a repost, I can't see my original.  I have a mainboard w/no
floppy controler.  Is there a way to add raid drivers to the xp pro cd, and
have them automatically install?  Or is there a way to modify setup to be
able to look for raid drivers on another type of medium?

Windows XP setup hangs upon installation during reboot.  I
have heard that this may be due to my graphic card -

I have some problems on initial installation of Windows XP SP1 with a
ATI RAGE Fury MAXX video card.
In Normal mode, it keeps rebooting by itself after the initial XP screen.

I have a PC box w/Win-XP Prof. on a AMD 3000+.  The System simply will not
allow the box to power off.  Before XP was loaded it was able to Pwr Off.
Now if I selct Turn-off-machine" for Start.  the systems will hibernate for
