I installed windows xp, then updated all the windows
files from the site, then i restarted the computer like
it told me and nothing happened, safe modes won't work,
none of the options will work, can't boot from cd.

I am out of disk space.  I want to purchase a new
(larger) hard drive and move my XP to the new drive.  I
am concerned that it will require another activation if I
do.  I only want one copy but I want it on the new

After several attempts at installing, formatting and
loading XP Pro to  a new Seagate drive, I now have a
machine that wants to go into Windows setup if left to

I've loaded XP Pro, letting it automaticly partition.  
XP 'sees' my partitions backwards, C: should have been
boot, it's small.  The other large partitition labeled d:

Formatted c: and tried to install XP via boot disks, but I
get the following error...

I'm currently running ME on my computer. I'd like to
upgrade to XP. However, during the setup process, setup
only offers to install XP in addition to ME on my hard
drive, warning me that having two os is not recommended.
