is it possible to upgrade from WinXP Home to WinXP Professional? I found out
that taking the Home Edition made networking too easy to be secure and don't
want to buy another retail version.
Is it also possible to upgrade using an OEM CD?

I am using Windows XP Home.   I need to be able to boot my
PC in Safe Mode.   The instructions say press the F8 ket
while Windows is starting.   I have tried this by holding
F8 down throughout the boot process but nothing hapens,

This is what has happened. I have a windows 98 machine

Installing xp on existing machine that was running 98.  
Installing full version of xp, not oem or upgrade.  Upon
installation, get through formating hard drive. Files
start copying, gets to shell32.dll(about 2%) and I get an

Tehs erver is English.  I can only see the English images ....

I performed a successful upgrade to WinXP Pro from
Win98SE.  I noticed that the files & folders I had in 'My
Documents' are no longer there post upgrade.  It seems as
though Windows deleted them on the upgrade.  Any ideas?

When the computer has to be rebooted, the display comes
up at a low resolution.  Then when I do a system restore
to an earlier date, the prefered 1024 x 728 comes back.

Dear all, I have a RIS installation on a domain system
drive. I have compatoble PXE boot device.
When I connecvt my new system to network for installation
it cannot access the RIS installation folder?

Since ME only wanted to load on C, I disconnected the C
drive and installed ME on D.
