I'm upgrading my mother board and processor on my
computer. I have an OEM Windows ME disk which I upgraded
to XP Pro. Will I still be able to load XP onto my
upgraded computer?

In an attempt to speed up a sluggish computer, I deleted
some critical files! My sound is now gone, and my camera

I installed XP Pro using a disk NOT containing any
service pack 1 or 1a.
Then I did all web-updates available for my os (including
SP1 upgrade).

When I installed WindowsXP Home upgrade fresh, formatted
hard drive, it will not let me start my computer without
the cd being in the cdrom. Can I correct this? Please

When i shutdown my computer a messege says "stopping
Windows file protection" What does that mean and should I
be concerned?
