I have tried to upgrade several times from Windows 98se to
either XP Home, XP Proffesional, or 2000 Proffesional, and
I continue to get the same error. I was told to contact
Microsoft Tech Support and give you this error number.  FDFF58h

Partitions are: XP English (4094.7 MB); XP Foreign (3537.8 MB);
Unallocated (15963.0 MB); Extended (90875.5 MB). One XP partition is
always hidden using PartitionMagic 7.01 boot diskettes. Need more
space on the XP partitions, but PartitionMagic gives nasty messages

I am having a problem with the new computer I built. I
started it up and attempted to instal Windows XP Pro, but
about halfway through the computer completely shut off.

empty FAT32 partition (D:).
Is it possible for me to install Windows ME on the FAT32 partition and
configure my PC to dual boot without removing windows XP first.

I just bought a new dell PC which didn't come with a sound card - so I put
in the soundblaster card from my old PC - XP found the driver all by itself
with no fuss and it is there in the hardware of the system, with no faults
reported - driver loaded - just not a peep from the CD ...

how do i reinstall xp on a computer that will not boot

Dell Tec told me I could use wifes(Dell) win. XP disk to
install same on my Dell win.Me computer..Put XP disk in
D:\ drive and followed setup instructions..Got to the

I am trying to upgrade a system running NT 4.0

installation? Or can a simple volume be "extended" after installation? Or
does the volume have to exist before installation? On a virgin PC, how is

I installed windows XP SP1 successfully to my computer.
Then I add a working (good) floppy drive and connect the floppy drive
cable to the the A7N8X-Deluxe motherboard.
After rebooting, windows XP does not recognize the new floppy drive.
