Could anyone offer advice on restarting/reinstalling
Windows XP Prof with some damaged configuration files? It
seems that most (if not all) the programs and their data
are otherwise intact.

I've built a computer with two WD 160G ATA drives and a

read a white paper from a company that claimed MS had an API that
could be used for this, but I haven't had much luck finding it.
