I am installing Windows XP Professional.  Previously,
Windows 98 was on the machine, and it had been upgraded
to Windows XP Pro.  I attempted a clean install of

 I had the lovesan virus and did a format of my hard
drive and then tried to re-install windows XP. WHen I
start it says missing operating system. I do F8 for

I have this very strange problem.  I did a fresh install
of XP pro.  The install went fine.  WIth the CD installed,
