replies so far. I failed to note that this problem halts
installation of XP. I'm stuck until we get it resolved.

During the boot of windows xp home edition if I move the
mouse pointer the system with do a total lock up.  The
only way to fix it is to press the machine reset button.  
On rare occasions it will stay locked up after the re-boot

I get an error message on start up.  I close the error
window and everything appears to work normally.  How can
I "fix" this error?  I'm running Windows XP Home.

I've lost my booklet that has the 25 character code
required for installing winXP.  I'm in the midst of a
clean re-install on my 3 day old PC and am frantically
searching for the booklet.  What are my options?
