I have a computer that was in the process of installing SP1 when it rebooted. Needless to say, it trys to load Windows and reboots. Is there a way to rollback the update? IE, recover before SP1 update.

Back in June of 2003, I had to rebuild my PC because I replaced my hard drive with a larger size model. Of course, because I changed the hardware, I had to call MS to 'activate' it. They gave me a LOOOONG number which I put in and XP (Pro) accepted it fine.

I plan on doing a major update of my desktop pc that I currently run with xp pro. I'll probably upgrade from Pentium II to IV, get more memory, and replace my cd drives with read/write drives.

Trying to Install Windows XP, upgrading from Win98SE. Tried Compatability check first, got "Contact Technical Support, error 5A8FF58h". Then started Setup, got error "Can't Copy F:\i386\MFC42.DLL to C:\Windows....."

I have the German Win XP Home Edition already installed on my PC. Is it possible to install the english Win XP professional edition on either a partitioned disk or a separate drive as well? Will this create conflict with my German version?
