After setting up Windows XP Home, the mouse driver has been incorrectly set to a USB mouse instead of a serial mouse. As a result of rebooting, we can't get any further than the log on screen as both mouse and keyboard function

Due to problems we had to format our C:drive (deleted partition, made new dos prim.partition and formatted it). Now we're trying to make a new installation of XP, but setup will not continue because it didn't find any harddisk..... C:drive is working because we can setup Win98, ...

The taskmon.exe file was infected with W32.Novarg.A@mm. I renamed it XXXtaskmon.exe and ran a virus check with Norton Anti-Virus. This automatically deleted it.
