in migrating files to a new computer can you use a firewire or usb cable rather trhan a serial to serial cable as suggested in the how to section of the windows home page(the article was dated for 2001, so im skeptical)

I am running Win98 and when I boot up my PC it loads a new microsoft word doc ready for use, basically a clean word page. Again, I am running Win98, and on boot up it starts a new word doc. Any more Ideas on how to stop this from loading on start-up Bryan

I got a new XP 8300 yesterday and loaded office XP and some other software. Now everytime I start the machine I get the Windows "System 32" folder opening on the desktom. I cant find any way to stop it. Any suggestions.

I will probably post this in a couple of places over time, if it is decided this is not the proper forum. The title essentially gives my problem. I use a DOS (Win98) boot disk to load network drivers and then map a network share on a server to ghost with.
