saying that the install can't continue because my PC has a NetBIOS name that
contains an underscore (which never caused my PC a problem).  However, the

Is there an article on how to do this? My wifi connection wont start IE or
OE at all nor will it share files over the network
And the connection to the base station in the systray changes at random from
'excellent' to 'poor' to 'no connection available'

I'm preparing to order bits for a new PC on to which I intend to install
WinXP. Does it need a floppy or is the media all CD?
If the media is all CD, is a floppy really necessary now?

I have had an annoyin display problem: 1 of 2 pixels is grey (like before a

OK, here goes ....... I want to Install XP Pro on a system having one 512Mb
and one 60Gb HDD. My objective is to run the operating system from the 512M
Drive, basically just to boot the system, all Data, Temp Files, programs, etc

Trying to upgrade from 98se.  Machine is a Pentium III 700mhz with 256mb of
memory.
When I've tried to install XP I get the following error message:
an error occurred copying file cdrom.inf to c:\$win.nt$.~LS\1386\cdrom.in_.

when I try to install XP upgrade on my 98 I get the
message, Setup cannot copy E:\I386\MFC42 DLL to
C:\windows\setup\MFC42.DLL.

Several of us have posted issues where VS.NET hangs when debugging a Windows
