We are attempting to deploy a program whichm rather annoyingly, is
configured per user, involving a direcory under the "Application Data"
directory being used to store its configuration.

Had a perfectly running 98 and decided to upgrade to XP. After entering the
product key, it went to screen that said checking hardware. It never comes
out of that screen. Is there a log that would help me find out what the

update)I swept the system for virusses & spyware (Ad-aware

Hi, I am really struck here...I upgraded my XP Home edition to XP
professional install(w/ bundled SP2). Everything went ok..but at last stage

I am trying to share a moble phone picture download system between 2 users on
my computer. Is it possible to do this without downloading the software again
on the other users account in XP? also does the same apply for installing
games on different users accounts or desktops?

While upgrading a partition from Win98se to WinXP the upgrade stops
with the following errors (from the log), and even worse; unistall
then runs twice, and after that Win98se won't boot at all :-(

When running the F.A.S.T program on the "old" computer, I get an error
message the it cannot access the following "LOG" files.
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM.LOG  also the SOFTWARE.LOG, the DEFAULT.LOG,
the SAM.LOG and the SECURITY.LOG
