Just installed Service pack 2 on a machine
Now have problems with some apps so need to go back.
When I run Add/Remove programs, the list is incomplete

a refurbished hp with a pirate copy of XP.  I have now
purchased a new xp home disc, but I do not want to scrub

I can figure out easily enough how to reformat my 2 disks, but I don't
understand how I'll reinstall windows xp pro.  I guess in bios I can specify
the cd rom as the boot dirve, but will the computer recognize the cd drive
when I boot the computer?
