I needed to do a reinstall of XP Pro because of corrupt Windows files on a
Compaq 2800T Laptop.
All I want is to get to the point where I can get my data off (by CD or
Network).

Is it possible to have two operating systems on your hard drive and have them
share your programs and data.  If so, please explain.

opens Eindows Explorer to folder System32.  Any guidance on how to stop this
