Is the .Net Framework included with XP SP2? If so what version?
I just received a new Dell workstation and right from the factory it has XP
SP2 and it also has the .Net Framework. However, I do recall setting up VPC
images and installing XP SP2 and no framework was installed.

My PC's parallel port comes up with the Data Pins set HIGH when I start my
computer.  Is there a way to change that so that the Data Pins come up LOW on
PC startup?

I had Windows XP Pro installed on a machine that was previously running on
NT4. It seems to be working fine except that I lost my address book and all
the e-mails, new and deleted. I figure they are there someware. Can someone
tell me where or how to look.

I just purchased a Windows XP home edition software disc, and it says "For
Distribution only with a new PC".  Will I lose all my information on my
existing PC with Windows XE already installed if I try to install this?
Can I install this in an already up and running system?

I am trying to restart my computer and I get the message "The system is not

Last year I installed a new OEM licence XP Pro on a 80GB hard drive with
a new motherboard. Since then, I've installed SP2, and many programs and
data files. Unfortunately, I made the boot/system volume drive C: too

I bought a copy of windows xp professional with sp2 integrated.  My computer
is a bit old, AMIBIOS 600mhz.  crap video card but it works fine.
I do a clean format and then an install of windows xp, everything goes fine

Well, as the 'family' computer expert, I've gotten stuck with my sisters XP
Home machine. She has so much spy ware and adware on the thing it is just
going bizerk. The most bizarre thing is that the CDROM drive goes in and out
continously.
