xp-pro, located in c programs\common files, with lots of reg. entries, not listed in remove programs. anybody venture what put it on my comp. as I am the only user. some program did it I know, but what? don't think I need it. can't remove through the add-remove, not even listed.

My computer goes into the safe mode option screen when booting, then wont boot, just restarts and returns to that screen.. I put in the XP cd, and when I hit R for recovery, it just goes to the C:\ prompt.. What do I do to fix this???
