For those of you who use sysprep. Every other time I run this on my load machine, it shuts the computer down in about 2 minutes. Then the *next* time -- it takes about 30 minutes.

I am evaluating XPSP2 on an enterprise image. In a clean build from original select media with SP2 slip streamed Diskeeper and Symantec Antivirus refuse to work. In an updated build applying XPSP2 to an existing image the same programs work fine.

When I try to uninstall the MSN Explorer from the Add/Remove Programs, I'm getting a message: "...Plesase insert 'Messenger' CD...". What is the Messenger CD? I tried to insert my Windows XP CD and it does not recocnize it.

I have a compaq 5333CL. For one reason or another during boot up the first thing I get is " 1720-samart drive detectec an iminnet failure on the hard disk......" I have to click F1 to continue booting. Next screen says "boot.ini file

I am trying to upgrade windows ME to XP, have done it before no problems whatsoever. have reformatted harddrives and partitions, ME goes on without a flicker of a problem. have checked all hardware is working properly and that there are no errors,

Bios is set to boot from CD first but I don't get the option to boot from CD when starting WIN. Could it be because I have a CD changer and a DVD burner? thnx

I believe I have seen this described before, but I can't locate the reference. I have a new computer with XP Home edition preinstalled on the 160gb HDD. The HD has not been partitioned. I have another computer running Win98 loaded with needed programs and data.
