The windows update page has this link that says "RTM" support is ending: Windows XP RTM support on Windows Update is ending. Learn more. I can certainly learn a bunch of stuff I don't want to know by following the link, but I can't learn what in the blue blazes "RTM" stands for :-).

I have just purchased XP Pro for my home computer, to replace 2000 Server which I had running, and was totaling bogging down my HP machince. It has been suggested to me that I do a 'clean' install. Does that mean I reformat the hard drive? Do I create a boot disk first?
