| System 32 at Startup | 18 Dec 2004 16:25 GMT | 1 |
System 32 folder opens at startup. I've read another query and answer for this problem, but I receive ominous warnings about opening a file from http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp.htm. Is there a fix I can do without opening this file? How did it happen in the first place?

As far as I can tell, the Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 September 2004 Volume License CD cannot be used to upgrade Windows 98 as packaged. The SP2 version of EXPAND.EXE has a library dependancy that does not exist in Windows 98.

I bought a XP Pro disc off of eBay and tried to load it over my Win ME system. The damn thing only loads to about 27 - 31 % then repeatedly drops out of the setup to re-boot and start the whole show over again, and again. Is there anyway to rescue all the "good" files still left on ...
