I tried running Sfc.exe today but all I get is a window flash on screen for a

I can't execute the Q815021 update.   I get a QFE Installer Error Message.  
It says the WEUpdate cannot retrieve information needed from database.    
Dell says I have to reinstall my operating system.

I have just installed the Windows XP SP2 update and now my computer is
rebooting itself without any reason when the XP picture shows up at start up.

Can anyone tell me a proper place where I can download the driver for a
Motorola SM56 Soft Modem? The driver I currently have does not work with

I'm had some trouble installing windows xp in an IBM ThinkCenter PC.
Initially, some files cannot be read from the disc, and then later on I get
an error message saying that memory cannot be read, or component cannot be
initialized... and the message is different each time. And ...

I've recently had an 'ADMtek AN983 10/100 PCI Adapter' added onto my computer.
Windows Plug and Play instals the driver but says that it isnt working
properly, i've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver a few times, restarted

When ever sysprep is run it returns the NIC back to "auto negotiate". Is
there a way to prevent this from happening? or a script that could be run so
set the NIC back to "100 full duplex".
