I'm having trouble with my XP, Home Edition, computer. It tells me that I am missing file ' ntoskrnl.exe ' I put my XP (upgrade) Original CD in my 98SE CDRom and searched for the file but it couldn't find it.

Is it possible to upgrade SP2 Home to Pro (No updates)? My VAIO has the Home SP1 defaulted. But I keep getting the error STOP 0x00000024. I have tried its suggestions on antivirus and chkdsk! Any assistance is appreciated!

I have set up and am using RIS on windows server 2003 with a number of WinXP SP2 and Win2k builds with no problems. I need to set up an install that formats the HDD in FAT32 instead of NTFS as there are a few legacy software packages that have trouble with the NTFS
