I'm having trouble with my XP, Home Edition, computer.
It tells me that I am missing file  ' ntoskrnl.exe '
I put my XP (upgrade) Original CD in my 98SE CDRom and searched for the
file but it couldn't find it.

I am trying to reload XP Pro on an HP Pavilion.  The system has a 160 gig
drive in it.  Windows will only recognize 137 gig of it.  The original load
did see the entire drive.  Is there a setting or option that I'm not aware of

can anyone tell me how to re load windows xp on my pc.when i put the restore
discs in the cd drive they will not run or load up.dont know much about
computers so step by step help would be really appreciated.want to re load it
because the computer used to belong to somebody else ...

I have xp home on my c: drive , i recently created a partition h: in order
to instal Windows server 2003.
However despite my attempts i cannot get windows server 2003 to load to the
partition and all the files are on the C: drive , consequenlty during the
WinXP activation, sysprep, open license, retail license12 Mar 2005 22:00 GMT1

I've searched these newsgroups and 3rd party forums but haven't found an
answer thasays if it is possible to supress the "Help protect your pc" screen
that appears after the first reboot when installing SP2.
I know it can be suppressed when installing a full copy of WinXP with SP2 ...

I'm having some difficulty with win xp on a drive that  had a new motherboard
installed. I'm getting the NTLDR is missing warning and nothing seems to fix
it. I'm thinking I need to do a re-install to fix the problem. The winxp disk

Is it possible to upgrade SP2 Home to Pro (No updates)?  My VAIO has the Home
SP1 defaulted.  But I keep getting the error STOP 0x00000024.  I have tried

I have set up and am using RIS on windows server 2003 with a number of WinXP
SP2 and Win2k builds with no problems.
I need to set up an install that formats the HDD in FAT32 instead of NTFS as
there are a few legacy software packages that have trouble with the NTFS
