Windows PE 1.1 workstation - based on Windows XP

OK, I did everything right and installed all of the SP2 updates!  Yeah!  
However, I had a friend crash his computer and bought a new one with Pro on
it!  So he gave me his version of Pro!  So I tried to install it and I get to
resetting the computer and I get an error: STOP  ...

Is there a way I can dual boot Windows XP and Windows 98. I want Windows 98
on the D:\ Drvie and Windows XP on the C;\ Drive. I have Windows XP installed
already but I can't get Winodws 98 to install.

I just got a 250GB Maxtor HD (6Y250P0) which I connected to the Ultra
DMA bus on my P4C800-Deluxe Asus mobo. I used the MaxBlast 3 software
by Maxtor to format the disk (didn't partition it), and downloaded the
Promise Fasttrak RAID drivers from the asus website and created the

My computer went through the preparing installation stage and it restarted my
computer.  It asked if I wanted to boot with the Windows XP setup and i chose
it.  Then it said there was an error that stopped the installation.  I closed

Ok, well it's sort of a concern.  I got my copy of WinXP OEM awhile ago, and
I've reinstalled a few times since, and have changed my system setup.  
Recently I re-formatted again, and ran into the new OEM security (having to
call in to register.)

I have a WIN2003 RIS server on a WIN2k Domain.
I created a PC using the CD image on the RIS ( Windows XP Pro).
I then ran risprep on the PC aftering installing Drivers and stuff.
The image copied over and is on the server under

tried doing the setup but it takes me to the recovery console and i do not

environment which has a lot of pcs from a different manufacturer. If there
is a way to back up the driver before formatting.... it would help me very

I've tried may times installing SP2 with the same error each time... a simple
window appears after download etc. as files are being installed after
expanding I get a simple window stating 'Access Denied' and I'm forced to
roll-back.
