I tried off the CD and after adding to the local drive: after starting repair, I specify the location of Windows (C:\Windows), type in the administrator password and it sits at a C:\Windows prompt ...... How do I get it going?

First read the dialogue between Andrew and I on the 8th thread before this one and this will give you an Idea of what happened first. I took his advice, Configured sata's in the bios to raid and enabled SATA Boot rom.

I have a NIC that uses a newer version of a driver file that comes on the XP Pro CD. If I want to have my setup run automatically and join my domain I need to have this driver file "replaced" during the text based setup. Integrating the drivers during setup is not working ...

is there anywhere I can download IE 6 ? I have looked on the microsoft.com site and there are only updates and add-ons. The reason i am wanting to download IE is that i may have deleted a registry entry by accident.

We use Windos PE for unattended Windows XP installatino from network share. It seems that if WINS in not available network drive cannot be mapped using compuer name in net use command but it works with IP address. Is it possible to enable DNS resolution in WinPE?
