using When a friend installed a new hard drive for me (Compter #2), he installed his copy of XP. Since I own a legit copy of XP, I want to install/register my legit copy. 1st Question -- I have another legit XP on another computer (Computer #1).

Ater installing SP2 for XP Home Edition I get the message: Windows cannot start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM then a suggestion to use the Windows Setup CDROM and slect 'r' for repair.

I find this option in System Properties | Advanced | Performance | Visual Effects. I can see no "effect" when I uncheck it. What is its relationship to Tools | Folder Options | Show Common Tasks?

I need to install XP-pro on a computer with a Hard drived larger than 137GB The original XP installation disc does not allow this, since large disk support is apperently not included before SP1 I have heard that it is possible to merge the original installation files
