In my new hard drive for laptop, I installed windows xp from scratch.  
Immediatelty after that, the windows xp was upgraded to SP1 and then SP2 by
MS's automatic windows upgrade service.  But I notice that the used space in
my hard drive changed significantly from less than 3GB ...
