i tried to install win xp x64 pro but at the biginig  i receve the error NO
hard disk drive installed... i have maxtor 160gb sata hdd... maybe becouse
the hdd is sata that is why it doesn`t work.. please Help..

I'm wondering if there's better way to enable/disable the Quick Launch bar
and the Windows Explorer settings for the Default User than using fx. the
Administrator account to set it all up and then copying the profile to
Default User.

i wish to put my pc back to the start as it was when i purchased it,,i have
the disks that came with it and all program disks etc,i just dont know where
or how to start, as in which disk to use first,second etc..i do know i will
lose stuff saved,thats ok,i just need to start ...

I am trying to install XP Pro using an updated bootable CD.
I am using a version of source materila that has already got Service Pack 2
applied.
I am using WINNT.SIF to automate as much of the installation as possible.

I'm trying to upgrade win98(1st edition) to windows xp home edition,
everything is going well and it asks me to reboot. After that, it loads all
the driver but then the CD spins down and the system locks up. Even pressing
NUm Lock on the keyboard

I can start Windows XP but after entering a user session (I have 3 users
defined) and after seeing some icons appear on the bottom right bar, the
screen goes blank and the computer restarts; the problem is that I can't get
to the "Start" button to look for the problem.

I'm planning to migrate all of our users from Windows 2000 to XP. USMT does
look good, but I need to cut some of the features down.

I just ghosted an older 10GB hard drive to a larger 40GB drive in order
to facilitate a move to a more robust system. Now when the drive is
installed to the new machine (new motherboard, etc) the system hangs at

I need to create one single master image of Windows XP SP-2 (using Ghost 8)
that would cover these laptop models:  IBM Thinkpad T22, T23, T30, T40, T41,
