doing a repair install didn't fix it, so I figured doing a full install

The help says to use run chkdsk - that doesn't clear it. I've also tried
scannow - also made no difference.

What does oempreinst do? Is that obselete or does that do something secret?

I'm doing a clean install of XP Pro which has been slipstreamed with
SP2.
I am installing to a 300gig drive on an K8N motherboard with an Athlon
64 3200+ CPU.

I have Windows XP and installed a CD burner but now the CD Drive and the CD
burner don't work.  And in the troubleshoot menu it says that my drivers are
not found.  Is there a way for me to reinstall XP with the drivers not
working besides downloading to a floppy? I tried this ...
