I had troubles getting my windows xp pro started, so I booted with my windows xp installation cd, selected to repair the existing windows installation, and my computer restarted with the windows xp setup.

hey, in sounds and audio devices on winxp in the control panel, under volume, then speaker settings, i click advanced and change it to 5.1 surround sound speakers. but when i restart the computer, it always goes back to desktop speakers, how can i fix this? thanks
