Is it possible to apply updates centrally from the server for our PCs?  
Otherwise, because most are restricted as power users, is it really necessary
to log in to each PC as an administrator to apply updates?

We have 3 xp pro systems where the sp2 install fails no matter what we do.
We keep getting a very tiny error box with an oh-so-informative message that
says somthing like "Error - SP2 installation failed."

I am attempting a repair/reinstall due to virus problems, but can't find my
authentication code (I do have a genuine XP CD honest!). Is there any way of
retrieving it or getting a valid one?

I just bought a xp home ed OEM version. when i trying to install it, during
the very first stage of copying files to harddrive, it gives me error message
said that can not copy files. it let me hit enter to Retry,or Esc to skip the
file. It give me the error sometimes at 4%, ...
