Is it possible to apply updates centrally from the server for our PCs? Otherwise, because most are restricted as power users, is it really necessary to log in to each PC as an administrator to apply updates?

I have formatted my HDD using the following command A:\format c: /s. (The system stiffy disk was created from Windows 98.) What command do I run or how do I enable it now to see the CD-ROM drive to enable me to install Windows XP?

We have 3 xp pro systems where the sp2 install fails no matter what we do. We keep getting a very tiny error box with an oh-so-informative message that says somthing like "Error - SP2 installation failed." -Tried internet install, normal mode.

I am attempting a repair/reinstall due to virus problems, but can't find my authentication code (I do have a genuine XP CD honest!). Is there any way of retrieving it or getting a valid one? (And how do you cancel out of the process if you don't have one?)
