To make a long story short: got a virus, then tried to reinstall Win XP
(with SP2) but haven't been able to.
Now each time I turn on my PC, the Setup process resumes the installation
automatically.

USMT 2.6 appears to load all of the user hives at once. The problem occurs
when multiple profiles point to the same ntuser.dat file. The first profile

I am running a Windows XP SP2 on my desktop boxes. Is their a script with
which I can automate the installation of IIS and Indexing Services on these
XP Pro. Desktops.

I just got thru re immaging a dell PC with XP pro. After installation I
chekced device mgr and the onboard ethernet card,sound,video,and PCI

I have Pentium IV PC operating on a Win 98SE platform. I downloaded the
"Microsoft WinXP Upgrade Advisor". When I run it, it successfully gets
past the hardware. However, when testing system files, it hangs on "DVD

upgrade version but it has been suggested that since I currently have Windows
ME on the machine that I should reformat the drive and install the full

When I want to do Disk Cleanup, one of the things it calculates is how much
would be saved by doing file compression.  I never want the file compression
done, but this calculation takes a lot of time.  How can I tell it I do not
want to hear about file compression?
