In Network Connections, the LAN displays "connected", but when trying to get internet access, it shows "page cannot be displayed". This notebook works fine with a cable modem, but I can't get the 'DSL/ethernet connection to gain internet access. Thanks for the help

My comp crashed yesterday, so I reinstalled windows xp. When it was finished, I logged on and the display was 640*420 with only 4 colors... I tried to fix it, but neither will go up. I ran windows updates and tried the trouble shooter none worked. How do I fix this?

I had Adobe Acrobat running under XP SP1 and then went to SP2 and am now unable to create a PDF. I was getting a memory error 0x0045c9e5, but now it just hangs. I have done everything that Adobe suggested, except an OS reinstall.
