I have a copy of XP x64 on a dvd from TechNet, When I try to install it on my AMD 64 bit system it just skips the install and goes right to the 32bit version I have on the system already. (No AUTORUN) I have the DVD Rom set as the first boot device in the BIOS.

I currently have WIN ME on our home PC. I start to upgrade it today. During the upgrade XP kept looping through the preparation process. In an effort to stop the looping I had it boot from the CD. Now I am getting an error message that "Setup is unable to verify drive C:.

I just tried to use my existing WinXP hdd on a new motherboard, It begins to boot then stalls after %systemroot%\system32\device\agp440. Don't want to wipe disk, any hints?

I have a recent install of XP Home full Edition running on a PC that will be replaced by a machine with XP Home OEM. Rather than re-installing all the apps and moving data, I want to simply replace the HD in the new machine with the old machine's HD.
