I upgrade Windows XP Pro SP1 with SP2 with an administrator account
After, i copy the current user profile in the default user : it is okfor the
new users
But, how i do to upgrade existing user's profile ?

Just got a new computer with 300 Gb SATA disk & XP Pro x64 loaded. Found that
several programmes and cable modem would not work with x64, so tried to
reinstall XP Pro (32 bit). When formatting drive, it gives capacity as only
131060 Mb. How can I get XP to recognise full 300 Gb?? ...

I have made a Ghost Image from my laptop HD.
Loaded the Image on a new and greater HD
Get the message "Ntldt is missing"
Tried "Fixboot, Fixmbr", no result

my desktop but I don't remember how its done , To get it back on the desktop

I have a friend who runs windows 98, and she has a virus,  Will completly
reformatting clear this out too?  It was a second hand tower, and she wants
it cleared, If this does work, what would be necessary for me to install win
XP on her system?  She has no  installation software ...

When on the internet I get messages from Security Monitor to Alert saying
that my Registry is corrupted and I should go to a named website for the
necessary program to cure this. PC Power Suite  Spybot and Norton Antivirus
cannot find a virus and say the Registry is OK.

On a non-booting hard drive where the files are readable...
is there any way to tell which version of XP is installed -- home, pro,
media center...retail full or upgrade / oem?

I cloned a perfectly running Windows XP Pro hard drive (Maxtor SATA) to a new
SATA 2 drive (Western Digital) using Norton Ghost 9.0. The source drive had a
31.9 C: partition and a D: partition and the copy operation said it completed
without error.
