I need to use Sysprep to deploy an XP image to computers with different IDE disk controllers. I run sysprep using the /BMSD switch on the computer with the source image at it sits there forever and gives me a "Grace Experation has expired error"

I had a harddisk crash, but I was able to copy it with ghost. The problem is after it boots I cannot logon on to it because its not the "C" drive Its the "E" drive. How can I change it to become the "C" drive??? Help!!!

I had to reinstall Windows XP. Before when I clicked shutdown, I got a shutdown screen with three icons. Now I'm getting a dialog box with tabs whch has the task manager, and some other stuff on it which I don't want. Does anyone know how to get back the previous shutdown ...

Just installed a new hard drive ,now the computer does not see any USB devices(web cam,digital camera,memory stick).when I plug in the memory stick the light on the unit comes on but the computer does not see it at all.Have SP1 and 2.

Hi, are there any particular differences between the US version and UK versions of WinXP Pro? I assume regonal settings will still be editable. I ask as I will be visiting US and there is a large cost differential.

I would like to build another computer. For now, the plan is to upgrade an existing Emachine computer with a new case and LCD monitor, but retain the old 533 Celeron processor, OEM motherboard, and memory for a short time.
