I have made a mistake in buying this machine too early and find nothing to
run on it so I'm stuck.
What I want to do is load XP [sp2] as a dual boot so I can use 32bit and my
software while waiting to have 64bit programmes developed. But I'm not being

I am installing WinXP Pro on a desktop with a new hard drive.  This is the
only hard drive on this machine (i.e. it is the master).  So, I do not have
ANY system software other than the one I am trying install (so far to no
avail).  The message is this:

Well I finally got the ram to go into the slot but I think I pushed too hard
because now I'm getting a blank monitor screen. Darn it. I tried to take out
the one piece I origanlly took out and just use the one I didn't touch 128 .
But no luck. I think I damaged the motherboard ...

Trying to re-load XP Home onto my hard drive.  The hard drive had to be
re-formated and I am using the original cd that came with the computer.  I
