Basically, I get a message stating "An error occured trying to create the log
file" everytime i switch on my computer.  
The only recent thing i have done which may have caused this is that i
deleted my temporary internet files recently because of problems with Adware

Windows XP sp2 starts up fine & loads my startup programs as I have set it up
in startup menu.  It also opens the window C:\WINDOWS\system32, which is not
requested in any setup!  Any help with how to disable this
C:\WINDOWS\system32 so it doesn't open on startup?

I have Windows XP which was supplied on my Acer PC without a setup disk, just
recovery disks which wipe everything.
On booting I get a message "Missing or corrupted file
windows/system32/config/system"

Word and Wordpad can show it.
Also a dotnet app with richtexted can show it.
Setup doesn't show the graphic in this rtf.
