When my daughter returned from College I learned that she had a "friend"
install a unliscensed copy of Windows XP on her PC.  Of course this copy of
Windows is not registered and therefore can't recieve software updates etc.  
My question is if I purchase a legal copy of Windows ...

When setting up a computer you used to be able to copy NTUser.dat of a
configured user to the Default User. Apparantly this is not supported in
sysprep. How can you accomplish the same thing AND use sysprep? Could it be
as simple as setting up the user, installaing the apps, ...

Before I embark on a "system recovery" on my daughter's computer I would
like to ask some questions about broadband/LAN.    System is WinXP HE.
a.  Where are the settings of a broadband connection located?
