I am installing XP HomeEd over another MS opersys. Do I need to erase the Hard Drive, or will the Hard Drive be erased as part of this process? I was hoping to avoid having to do that.

We have an Open license for our Windows XP. I am constantly reinstalling PC's with my SP1 CD. I know there is a way to make a "slipstream" disk that will update it to SP2, but is there a way to add my product key to the install to avoid having to enter it each time?

I have been using RIS for about 3 years now and have never had this problem: I install my base image with all the applications that are needed. I log in as a generic user (with admin rights) and configure my settings and environment the way I want them to be presented.
