Because Win XP Pro was running slowly on my desktop, I re-installed XP. XP came with my Dell PC so I used the Dell Reinstallation CD for XP Pro with Svc Pack 1a. I followed these steps: 1. I did the reinstall, not the repair option.

Everything went well while I was re-installing my OEM copy of XP Home. I partitioned, formatted and after a few more screens, the PC restarted, I get to the Windows Splash screen (where the little bar moves across while loading) and it freezes right there. What's going on?
