... And then fails due to an error that reads something like "Cannot read license information." Then it locks up solid. It started doing this more than two weeks after the RAM on this system was upgraded from 2 GB to 4 GB - without issue at the time.

I recently upgraded a user computer (dell dimension 2400) from 2000 to xp prof and can no longer access the internet. I downloaded nic drivers (all of them!) from the resource disk (didn't work), re-installed windows xp, looked on the internet for other drivers and loaded them ...

I should've known this wouldn't be straight-forward. <g> I had to buy a new PC because the old one's MoBo fried. It was due for replacement anyway. The new PC came with WinXP/Home. I purchased the XP/Pro upgrade retail, but it won't install.

I've finally got everything working perfectly for sysprep. We are using the mini-setup wizard because we roll out new pcs every month. The only problem I'm having is that the administrator password doesn't change even though we're prompted and then make a change. It always ...

Because of GPO's, we need to have a script were users homefolders are created. There are about 26 users on 5 workstations in an AD enviroment. We need some automatic script were 26 UserID's are automaticly logged in and logged out again..

I stupidly cancelled while running "Add/Remove windows components". Now when I try to run "Add/Remove windows components" I get the message "File copy operations were canceled. Setup cannot continue." with only an "OK" button.

My computer froze up last night during some video editing and I think the hard disc has died, probably due to overheating. It is either that or a BIOS problem that won't detect the drive so the machine can't boot. The PC is in the repair

I have partitioned my disk to install LINUX but now i wish to uninstall LINUX and boot with XP without having to reinstall XP can i do that? I want to completely remove LINUX from the system.
